Not exactly 'desert life' but there was no other section for 'flora', hope that's ok - thought this would be of interest - a pine tree bonsai specimen that had sown itself in the crevice of this rock on the PCT.

Great shot George. See so many examples these days of little seedlings that are holding on for dear life in an inch or less of soil in a crack among the rocks.

Another interesting sight are the trees that grow sideways out of a crevice and then take a hard turn upwards to reach for the sun.
