Adopter reports PCT cleared between the southern Diamond Peak wilderness boundary and the junction with Deer Creek 1895.8 to approx.1909.3 in the data book) where there is a large snag, passable on the right. Some snow fields were observed northward in the Midnight lake area.
Deer Creek side trail (leading to the community of Abernethy) is in poor condition with over 100 blow-downs and a large washout. Trail is unsuitable for hiker or pack access to or from the PCT. For supplies, continue northwards to Shelter Cove Resort in approx. 5 mi.
