Oregon Section Hike

Have read stories from thru-hikers of Oregon being buggy. As a section hiker I can adjust my timing & am wondering what month is best to do Oregon.

I’m new to Oregon but I’ll jump in here as no one else seems interested in answering.
I coordinate the efforts of volunteer work parties on the PCT.
The general rule seems to be that less than two weeks after the snow melt is considered cruel and unusual punishment for work crews and stock. The mosquitoes are simply unbearable unless you are wearing full body amour and doused in toxic chemicals.
Another indicator I have heard is that the high country is not tolerable until after the 4th July party when the dry season sets in.

So generally, you should be comfortable in August and Early September.
