The following information is repeated from the PCTA Web Site:
USFS Report that PCT at Milk Creek, Mt Jefferson Wilderness area, destroyed by November 06 debris flow from collapse of a large part of the Milk Creek Glacier. The Pamelia Creek trail also destroyed in two areas.

This section of the PCT at the Milk Creek crossing within the Mt. Jefferson Wilderness has been affected by a land slide which occured November of 2006. The crossing is impassable to stock, and is a difficult crossing for hikers.
USFS quote: "Repairs to Pamelia trail will start late spring and hope to have a rouged in trail before summer."
