Sleeping bags on the PCT... What temp rating was yours / will yours be? Would you use the same next time?

Well ...unless something comes on the market that appeals more to me it will be the Marmot Helium -- a 15 degree down bag. Haven't seen another bag with that rating at 1lb/13oz yet.
I have a 20 degree down bag now (REI SubKilo) but it's about 6 years old and has nowhere the rating it did when new.

I actually had two that I switched between. A 0° Sierra Designs Flash (2lb 7oz) which, despite my opionion of SD bags, was a good bag... and the 20° Western Mountaineering Ultralight. I am a very cold sleeper and thought that I'd be cold in the earlier months which is why I went with the 0° bag. The SD bag was too warm ( usually) and it only had a half zip which made it difficult to regulate the temperature. I think next time i'd be fine with the WM bag with the addition of a down jacket or similar for the earlier months. Though who knows...

I used a Western Mountaineering Ultralite, a 20* bag. It's really warm. One night it got down to at least 18*F, though probably lower. The 18* check was taken before everyone fell asleep. Who knows what happened during the middle of the night. But I was toasty warm in my bag. Go WM!

Marmot "Trestles" 35 degree bag (synthetic), I was plenty warm most nights, maybe had 3-4 uncomfortable nights, but I would have been fine had I also had thermal underwear.
(I did have a jacket that kept my upper body warm, but I was cold from the waist down, with just thin pants on).

I am a cold sleeper so I have both a 15 degree (synthetic) and a 24 degree (down) bag.
I would rather be too warm where as I can take off or open up the sleeping bag...then to be too cold and toss and turn all night from being chilled!

20° Western Mountaineering Ultralight, but I think that's going to change yet again. Want to return to sleeping in my Hennessy "Bear Pinata":D so I'm looking at a JRB setup.

Another vote for the Marmot Helium. I'm a cold sleeper, but I've been O.K. in the Helium down to 18 degrees.

i use a Snugpak Merlin 3, 40 deg bag. for really cold night, i'll use my survuval blanket ridgelined maybe a foot above me in an A frame, keeps the heat with less condensation compared if the blankey was right on you. I've used this method hammocking in 20deg, and in -28 deg in tent, i placed one emergency blankey under air mattress and one blankey on tent, under fly eureka solitaire. worked for me.
