How do you replenish your supply your toilet paper while on the trail?

I usually bought in town and put the rest in the bounce box. On occasion, I took from a motel. Shhh!!!

Since I started carrying the "wet wipes" I don't carry TP any more. When I hit a town and re-supply I purchase a travel pack of wipes, open and squeeze out most of the excess fluid, and then repackage them in a zip lock.

I buy in town. I also have been using baby wipes in addition to the TP. Makes for a much more pleasant, and pleasant smelling, hike. On occasion I've had to use natural materials... I've always been surprised how well they work. Sticks and leaves especially.

this is something that i always managed to forget about until the last minute, so i normally would just spool a bit off the tp in the motel room... i managed to find some in the hiker box from time to time as well... more than once i ended up using old guidebook pages on the trail! was always really satisfying in crappy sections... :p

LOL
I prefer the wipe n dipes or wet ones.
But paper towels cut up serves very well also
so if no wet ones are available at a resupply I would go with the paper towels over TP anyday.
Smooth stones do work but YUCKY:eek:

In the snowy sections, well, there was nothing more luxurious, like a frozen bidet.

Otherwise, I liked to use wetwipes. At first blush, they seem heavy, but I tried to only use one per day, and always kept just a few extras, just in case.
