Gortex Oversocks

Would like to hear from hikers who have used the Gortex Oversocks to help keep feet dry and a little warmer in snow.

What was your experience ? Would you do it again and/or recommend them to other PCT hikers ?

I've never used any but would like to try them. I remember some hikers recommending some that they found at Cabelas.

REI has them too. The REI brand is 11" tall and the Cabella sock is 13". Not sure the extra 2" is of value. Might use my dividend and try them out:
